Sustainability at Astra
Sustainability is at the core of what we do at Astra Solar. Together with our customers, we proudly lead in the creation of a net positive energy economy - one that puts more back into society, the environment and local economy than it takes out. This work is infectious - it has inspired our ambitious goal to be one of Manitoba's first Net-Zero energy businesses by 2027.
We will achieve Net-Zero through use of renewable energy, electric vehicles, donated solar systems, carbon sequestration and purchase of carbon offsets, if necessary. We will publish annual greenhouse gas emissions reports to measure and track our progress on our sustainability journey.

1% For the Community
When you install a solar system with Astra Solar, you automatically 'Give the Gift of Solar' to a non-profit institution that matters to our Manitoba community.
How it works:
1. A local non-profit that would benefit from a solar system is chosen.
2. Astra designs an effective solar system for the non-profit organization.
3. Astra donates 1% of all revenue towards the non-profits' project and Efficiency Manitoba contributes a $0.50/Watt rebate.
4. When the projects donation threshold has been reached, we work with our partners, the non-profit and community to execute it.
5. The non-profit enjoys reduced monthly operating expenses and the system provides a learning opportunity for the community.
